Canabbis and epilepsy? |
Hi, i smoked week pretty much everyday for about 2 years then I stoped because I had exams, then when my exams where over me and all my friends desided to have a celibratory setion and I had like 3 drags and suddenly I had like well I can only describe it as an epileptic fit. Iv never had one before and I dont think I suffer from epilepsy. Since Iv tryed having it but I have like half a drag and my heart starts to beat really fast and I get really hot and begin to feel funny and like its gong to happen again so now I just dont do it anymore. Is this a big problem? What could cause it? Do I have epilepsy or something? Thank you eveyone. I have stoped I stoped over 2 years ago and am now at university. Im sorry I cant spell but im dyslexic. I just asked the question because I find it hard being around it now and I get tempted. Weed has some serious side-effects that can include things similar to seizures, though no actual forms of seizures have been linked to marijuana intoxication. It is more likely to cause anxiety, depression and psychosis than anything else. It sounds like, by your description of the event, that what you experienced was more likely a brief psychosis brought on by the intensity of your high. There was more of an effect than what you're used to because your tolerance had dropped when you stopped, and you were totally unprepared for the intensity of that high. The other problem with weed that is very obvious in your tale, is that it gravely affects one's ability to learn. Your pot smoking has clearly affected your ability to learn when most of us were learning to spell. I would suggest that you quit for good now, it's not good for you, and you will likely suffer more severe consequences if you keep using. Look for some Narcotics Anonymous meetings in your local area. I can tell you that I have a very good friend who has Epilepsy, who occasionaly smokes large amounts of Cannabis. Every single time he does this he has a very bad fit. I doubt Cannabis causes Epilepsy, but I do know that if you have it, it will certainly make it worse, in my experience. I suggest you stop smoking it and see a Doctor. If you do have Epilepsy you need to get some medication . well, least you wont get cancer now. Blessing in disguise mate.......... The episode requires you to go and see a doctor. Cannabis does produce depression, schizophrenia and physical brain damage. Marked shrinkage or atrophy has been noted in chronic users, producing early dementia. WHY ON EARTH DO YOU LOT USE IT????????? I dont know if you can get epilepsy from cannabis but it sounds like it doesnt agree with you so I think it would be best to give it up. |
