Could having epilepsy decrease my appetite at one time?

could having epilepsy decrease my appetite at one time? about 2 years ago i started to lose my appetite about every week and then i started to eat fine again. i was taking lamictal at the time and one of the effects was decrease appetite. now im taking depakote. i am eating just fine now. now i love to eat lol. could having epilepsy sometimes decrease your appetite as well?

I have taken both lamictal and depakote. Depakote before lamictal, and I gained so much weight. When the doc took me off of the Depakote, I lost so much weight, and I was put on the lamictal around the same time, and I did notice that there was a lack of appetite while on the lamictal. But as long as you are on the depakote, your appetite will continue to increase, and more than likely so will your weight.

the disease is unlikely to cause appetite suppression however depakote will in many cases.

When I have a petit mal seizure, I find food utterly unappetizing. After about a day or so, I start to eat everything in the house again.
