Thyroid and diabetes question? |
I have had low energy and dizziness for the last few months. I saw my Dr and he ran a basic metabolic profile and said everything looked ok. I had a thyroid and diabetes test ran on me 9 months ago and I have the results What's normal for one person may not be normal for you. I would ask and see if maybe you are depressed or stressed out. Maybe you are anemic because that can cause tiredness and dizziness as well. Try taking a multivitamin like a prenatal to build yourself up and see if that helps. If not go back to the doctor and push him or her to find out what's wrong. Good luck. Have you checked your iron levels? An iron deficiency could cause: light-headness/dizziness, brain fog/memory problems, headaches, sluggishness, and low libido among other things. Women are more prone to being iron deficient due to monthly cycles and excess chemical exposure. If a complete blood count (CBC) shows your iron to be negative, ask for a serum ferritin test which reveals the amount of iron blood cells have stored. Best of luck! Yoyr TSH was fine providing it was a morning test. If it was an afternoon test the number doesn't mean much. About your A1C, it's normal, but a little on the high side. Next time you test, get a fasting insulin and glucose. While you may not be diabetic, you could have insulin resistance (prediabetes) |
