Nursing help?

I am doing a project on parkinson's disease. i have to write a nursing diagnosis and justification for each body system:respiratory, cardiovascular, nervous, musculoskeletal, endocrine, integumentary, GI, urinary, immune, and reproductive. Some of these are obvious but some are hard to find a NANDA nursing diagnosis that relates to that system and relates to parkinson's. Especially endocrine, integumentary, immune, and reproductive. Any help?

To write your diagnosis you first need to know about the disease...what all the symptoms are for that disease. Then..you need to look at the systems and see how they work in the body. As for the endocrine system....it controls the hormones and is instrumental in regulating mood, growth and development, tissue function, and metabolism, as well as sexual function and reproductive processes. Now you need to look at Parkinson's...what are the symptoms? Primary is loss of muscle control. Secondary symptoms include:
Constipation
Difficulty swallowing (dysphagia)鈥搒aliva and food that collects in the mouth or back of the throat may cause choking, coughing, or drooling
Excessive salivation (hypersalivation)
Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)
Loss of bladder and/or bowel control (incontinence)
Loss of intellectual capacity (dementia)鈥搇ate in the disease
Psychosocial: anxiety, depression, isolation
Scaling, dry skin on the face and scalp (seborrhea)
Slow response to questions (bradyphrenia)
Small, cramped handwriting (micrographia)
Soft, whispery voice (hypophonia)

Now...an example of a nursing diagnosis for the endocrine system would be.....Alterations in the endocrine system related to excessive sweating and salivating.
Now you can write solutions to care for these conditions...this should get you started on the rest of the systems..hope it helps.

HI there,
at risk for skin breakdown related to immobility (Integumentary)
risk for infection as related to immobility (when patient is immobile they are at risk for pneumonia...immune)
Risk for sexual dysfunction related to tremors and medications (Reproductive)
risk for falls as evidenced by increased ridigidty and decreased motor function (Decrease of dopamine which is responsible for inhibiting acetocholyne which in turn is responsible for aforementioned skills)

I hope this helps...i covered this last semester...
