What medication helps lower alkaline phosphate in end stage renal disease patients?


what does the medication 'one alpha' do in a patient with end stage renal disease who has a elevated alkaline phosphate. Present medication is. Caltrate 600mg TID, multivit OD, Amlor 10mg BID,

High Alkaline phosphatase is a manifestation of a disease (liver kidney,bone and heart.) but not a cause of any disease.Who is prescribing medicines? Only renal disease must be treated.

one alpha shd b calciferol i.e active form of vit.d3,amlor is amlodipene fo b.p,i dont know of alk.po4 but calcium carbonate n calcium acetate help to lower phosphate levels n if thats not very effective use FOSEAL which contains sevelmer hydrochloride(but only after consulting yr nephgrologist).My dad had renal disease n if u need any info. u can get in touch wid me @maahi_cute_gal@yahoo.co.in
