How can I become a Combat Medic/Surgeon? |
I'm a medical student in Costa Rica, I have found myself quite interested in becoming an Emergenciologist since my last rotation at my hospital's emergency room service, and I am specially interested in tending to severe trauma victims such as those in war scenarios, so I'm wondering if there is any chance at all of my being able to get training and experience in combat zone ER's or the like, anybody know? thanks... Yeah you could join the military. Or once you become a doctor, you could do your residency in Emergency Medicine. You will see PLENTY of trauma. Well at least if in the US you will.
