Is using a laptop on your lap dangerous in the long run? Should it be on a table when possible.?

Or another surface on your lap between the two?
I worry about the heat generated and what all those electromagnetic fields are doing to me. It gets fairly warm after a while.
Anyone know anything about this??

it has been medically proven that laptop can cause sterility in men due to the heat that it place on the scrotum; the heat degraded sperm, which is usually kept at a lower temperature compare to the body (hence the reason it was hanging out). So yes, it is bad for you. Also, faulty battery has a tendency to combust or explode; while the chance of getting one of those faulty battery is very low it is better safe than sorry. An exploding battery will cause serious burn and possibly sterility. So yes, keep those nad safe and put laptop on table when possible.

no it is fine to have a lap top on ur lap but it will generate heat.

As long as you don't drop it it should be fine.

doesnt matter

if you keep it home no use of laptop

unless there was a warning about it on the box or in the manual, then let it be on your lap, use common sense though, if your leg catches on fire or something, then maybe set it on a table.

i asked my father this and he said that if u keep it on your lap nonstop for 20 years.....then u will have problems...sooo unless u intend to glue it to your lap for 20 years....i dont think u have a problem

Yes it is if you are male.
The heat from the laptop is not good for your testes as it creates a hostile environment that can make you permanently sterile over a period of time.

Thus should be placed on a table when possible.

Well, besides for the fact that the heat has to be uncomfortable and trying to use the lap top on your lap can be dangerous, I think a lot of this is about 'common sense in using electronic equipment.

But as always, this is just what I think..
