What drinks help you replenish electrolytes when a 16 year old is dehydrated on vacation?

My best friend is dehydrated badly and we are trying to figure out what sort of drinks she can buy at any store to replenish her electrolytes... if you're a nurse or doctor or REALLY know what you're talking about, PLEASE HELP!!!

Gatorade, Powerade, etc. They contain the electrolytes however the best mix would be 50/50 with water and gatorade ensuring you get the water AND the electrolytes.

Anything in foods, drinks like gatorades .

Gatorade is specifically designed to replenish electrolytes.

Gatorage, Powerade, anything that is considered a sport's drink.

Lucozade or and sport drink will help. Talk with a doctor first though.

TRY SPORTS DRINKS GATORADE, ETC.

Gatorade..Pedialyte (spelling?)

Gatorade works good.

I used to play tennis as a teenager, and one time I got incredibly dehydrated to the point I couldn't move--my opponent recommended my parents pick up so Pedialyte, which worked better than anything i've ever tried for electrolytes.

hope that helps!

gatorade!

Water, H20, you know that clear tastless stuff. It's the best for you. But in all seriousness gatorade, poweraid and things like that will only make it worse because they have high fructose corn syrup (which is quite bad for you) soda is worse. You definately want some water!

most of the sports drinks (gatorade, powerade) are a good source of electrolytes, as of the pedialytes they sell for children. and lots of water, that is the absolute best.
however, if she is really dehydrated, you need to take her to a doctor and possibly get some IV fluids, dehydration can cause many bad side effects, and to be safe you need to have her checked out by a doctor.

Gatorade really does refuel you, but I would tell her to just drink WATER like she's never had it in years! Tell her to drink lots of it, but not quickly. A good way to drink your water is to take a gulp and KEEP it in your mouth for about 10-15 seconds, and then swallow it. That way actually works better than just chugging it. But also like I said before, tell her to drink a Gatorade maybe every other day, because it is a BIG electrolyte producer. Good luck and have a good life! =)

Gatorade

Have her alternate Water and Gatorade. Gatorade has electrolytes and water will help her organs re hydrate! She needs to drink about 40-60-oz of water and probably about 20-30 oz of Gatorade. From then on have her drink plenty of water Daily so this doesn't happen again!
