Replace electrolytes lost through bulimia? |
Can you actually do that? How? I guess you could drink gatorade or pedialyte. But those are both loaded with calories, which would probably trigger another purge. You have to, because if you don't you'll die. They can do it for you at the hospital, but I hope you don't get to that point. I hope that, instead, you'll get treated for your bulimia (since I assume this is why you're asking the question) and then you won't have to worry about it. I 'think' you can get a powder you mix with water to drink to replace them-much like what you give children when they've got diarrhea. You can by taking re hydration salts with other medication but of course with advice of your doctor. So, if you have or suffering from bulimia, get help for it. Then you don't have to worry about electrolyte loss or dehydration or even death. Which is what will happen if you keep punishing your body that way. Please get help. |
