List two important electrolytes for normal cardiac cellular function?

List two important electrolytes for normal cardiac cellular function?

I'd have to agree with mtrummn or whatever the last post's screen name is. I was born with a cardiac condition as was my twin brother. (It claimed his life the day after our first birthday..I wasn't suppose to make it past age 2 but I guess I live to defy the medical odds/expectancy of my condition)

Back to the subject....part of my condition requires that I take both Potassium and Magnesium supplements as I also have a hereditary condition which causes critically low electrolytes. All of my physicians have informed me that both Potassium and Magnesium are necessary as they control/regulate the rhythm of the heart. (they are also necessary with proper muscle and neurological function in certain degrees as well. Considering the fact that the heart is basically a muscle this would seem appropriate as well!)

When my potassium and magnesium levels are low I can feel the arrythmias which are but one of my condtions related to my diagnosis. So I would have to say that these are the two MOST important electrolytes necessary for the heart.

Calcium and Potassium

Potassium and B-12

Potassium & Calcium

potassium and calcium are correct.
