VolleyBall Elbow Injury - what happend? what to do about it? |
volleyball elbow injury It's hard to precisely pin down what you did without x-rays or an MRI. But seeing as you bruised and the joint swelled up, it is likely that it's either cartilage or ligament damage. The best recourse is rest, but if you can't do that then strap it up to give it some support, not too tightly though. You can apply some ice and keep the arm elevated as much as possible, use a sling if you have to. You can also take an anti-inflammatory such as Ibuprofen (with food). If it's still not getting back to normal after about 5 days of the above, then you might need an MRI or x-ray. |
