I don't know what is wrong with my elbow.? |
I had a football game 3 days ago, and in the 3rd quarter someones helmet hit my elbow, and my whole arm went numb for about a minute, and then about 10 minutes later i looked at my elbow, and there is like this huge bump, and around the bump it is black and blue, and it feels like the bump is a bone but idk, and I looked at my other elbow, and there is no bump at all. The bump is pretty big. I showed the bump to other people on the team and they were like "i think you broke your elbow" or "you dislocated it." But at the time i didn't think it was anything so I didn't tell my coach about it, and my parents don't have insuranse so i dont want to go to the hospital and get taken out of football for a elbow injury..and if i touch the bump it hurt, and if i fully extend my arm as far back as it can go, my elbow hurts. Can someone please tell me if you think it is serious and think i should tell my coach about it or not. Thank you very much! you should have school insurance to take care of injuries caused by football...ask at school and yes make sure to talk to your coach...you can't play with a hurt/broken elbow...you have to live with that arm the rest of your life...football is for a season...so get well first before trying to become a football hero and ruin your life by needing an amputation...best to be safe now, than to be without an arm later...good luck!!! If you broke a bone you would be in A LOT of pain.. Sounds like its just bruised, give it a few days and if its not getting better I would let your coach know and see a Dr. relax and take it easy for the next few days.. put an ice pack on it to reduce the swelling and help the bruising... |
