Unable to straighten elbow and pain after injury after 7 years?

I chipped a bone in my elbow about 7 years ago, i had two pins inserted and after plaster was taken off i was unable to move elbow so dr's operated again and took the pins out and a piece of bone from inside the elbow to allow me to move elbow although i'm not able to straighten or bend elbow fully.

Since then on occassion i get pain and aching in the joint , its been getting worst and it sometimes feel's very weak and then sometimes get's a sharp pain in there would anyone have an idea what this could be ? or anyone with same experience ??

thanks you in advance!

* when i say 'chipped elbow' a small piece of bone came completey away from the elbow bone joint

Anytime you have such a serious injury to a bone or joint, there is the possibility of the pain and problems increasing as you get older.

There's not much you can do about the progression, but you can do things to make it more comfortable.

If you ice the area, it will reduce inflamation and the joint will be able to move more freely. Ibuprophen also reduces inflamation, which is the number one cause of joint pain.

I'd try something like Chondrioitin Sulfate which is supposed to lubricate our joints, and drinking lots of water, which is also helpful for lubrication.

I hope this helps. Good luck.
