Ever hit your elbow right on the nerve? |
I've hit my elbow before, but nothing like what I did while ago. I'm typing with one hand my other hand hurts so bad from it. I hit my elbow right on the nerve and shooting pain went up my arm to my hand and my hand felt like it was on fire! Its still tingling and made me dizzy and felt like I was going to throw up. This is the weirdest injury I've ever had. Is there anything to do to make it more comfortable? Should I go to the doctor? I touch my pinky or ring finger and it starts stinging again. Anyone done this and when will the pain stop? Ok...now my pinky just turned purple... you probably need to see a neurologist. Since you hit the nerve, you may have damaged it and therefore need some kind of nerve relaxing drug (Nueroton) to take away the pain and release the nerve(s) from extracting. No you don't have to go to the Doctor. You actually just hit what's called the "funny bone". That tingling sensation going all the way through your fingers is actually due to the banging of the ulnar nerve. Don't be a hypochondriac this is no big deal although it will be of some discomfort at first. The sensation will go away with time. It's just your bodys way of "humoring" you. Well I was going to agree with jay k, but if your pinky has just changed colour then there could be something more serious than just hitting your funny bone, maybe a trip to the doctor or casualty wouldn't go amiss. You hit your "Funny Bone," which means that the injury will give you a strange tingly sensation. You have pinched a nerve in your arm, and that is what caused the whole sensation of dizziness and queasy stomach. |
