I am recovering from a broken elbow, which was surgically repaired 1 1/2 weeks ago.? |
I am moving my arm as much as possible to loosen up the muscle by using it as normally as I can (per my drs advice), but my question is....I am so tired all the time. I get up and do a few things and need to lay down for a while. This happens all day long. Is this normal? I am supposed to go back to work next week, but I am afraid I am going to be exhausted. Just wondering if my body is focusing so much on healing the injury that there isn't any energy left for my normal routine. I also have a broken elbow, although I haven't had surgery. I'm the same. I can walk around the house, read for a few minutes, then I need a nap. I'm normally very high energy and active but now I'm just laying on the couch all day and sleeping about 12 hours each day. I think it's just the body working full speed and putting everything it can into healing. I guess you mean a distal humeral fracture when you say elbow? No, you shouldn't be so tired- unless maybe you have an infection from it. Is the area red and inflamed? |
