Immedate back/hip pain????Please help????

Last night my husband was massageing my low back (because I have chronic back pain ((I have Ehlers-danlos syndrome and myofacial pain syndrome ((Hypermobility issues)) I was laying on my stomach and when my husband stopped massageing my back I reached over to get my drink (I was still laying on my stomach)) and I was stuck!! Then I tryed to turn around and I had this worst pain ever in my low back and leg. It was going down my hip to my leg and I never felt this pain before, it was not my normal back pain. Today I can't bend over and still hurts bad! What do you think it is? And should I go to the Doctor? Mabey it is just a muscle spasms?? Help please?????

By now I hope you have seen a doctor. I have EDS-hypermobility. When your joints lock up there is always the possibility of nerve damage. You should find a good rhuematologist that really understands what EDS is or is will to learn more distinct info on EDS. You may also find a chiropractor to be of help. Not all EDSers find pain relief with chiropractors - my DC was the first doctor that diagnosised what I have. As you live through the progression of the syndrome you may need to find different types of beds, pillows, extra pillows, chairs, sofas, even making some things that support, protect, or releave painful spots. Keep searching for info on EDS so you are well educated.
