Edema?? Swollen feet andpregnancy? |
I am 5 months pregnant and both of my ankles are so swollen, it is like 2+ pitting edema...when i take of my socks, i have little tiny ankles, then above it is all fat and swollen. It looks so wierd, why am i so swollen?? Fluid retention. I would go to the Dr to check your blood pressure as it might be high. You need to see your doctor right away and talk to him about preeclampsia. Swelling alone dosen't mean you have preeclampsia. Some swelling during pregnancy is normal. But, swelling that dosen't go away is more serious. You doctor will check your blood pressure and the protein in your urine and possilby run some blood tests to check for preeclampsia. Get checked right away because this can cause a risk to your baby. |
