Question on edema? |
im a recovering anorexic and i think i have edema.i know that the ankles swell but is it also possible for the thighs and hips/bum to swell aswell? someone help please Yes, I think it would be very possible for the swelling in thighs and hips. I also think that if this is happening--you need to see a doctor. If you are swelling in these areas, it would be possible for the upper parts of your body to be retaining fluid, also--such as fluid around the heart and in and around the lungs. This is just my opinion but I think a doctor's adice would be so much better. Good luck |

Other than that I am afraid I can't be of much ... gravity (elevation) massage ( drains lymph system) ...Your pitting edema stays there for 2-3 minutes? You need to see your OB/GYN immediately to have your BP checked now. Just go up there. ...ive not seen the part 1 q&a's but.. lymphedema is a chronic situation. and all those pressure wrapping just helps to stop pain and over-swelling, i mean, you have to use them for the rest...
