Breast augmentation and inflammation/edema?

i had a breast augmentation 3 months ago. i experienced a lot of swelling, which has decreased and is moving down towards my lower extremities (legs, calves, ankles.) however, i am still very bloated, and i believe this is from the effects of inflammation from surgery and resulting edema. my doctor tells me that if i carry on a daily lifestyle, itll all go away by itself, but a month has gone by, and its still very bad. i still cannot fit into the same size jeans as i did before my surgery. anyone else experienced this? it is the worst in my arms, legs, and hips. what is usually done to treat inflammation from a trauma? is it supposed to last this long?

You need to see another doctor. This is not normal. If it is the surgeon who is telling you this I would definitely run to another doctor. I have had plenty of surgery and have never had that happen and I have Lupus !

To tell you the truth I only know of one person who had your problem.Your body is rejecting what ever they used to augment your breasts.This area of your body is very sensitive and delicate and the trauma of the operation caused the inflammation.Wait a few more days and see your doctor again to let him know how you feel.There could be a systemic infection in your blood too;please ask to have your blood checked again.
I don't want to scare you about this but make sure that you see another doctor about your problem if the one who took care of your augmentation is being obtuse.Some male doctors look down on women ;trust me , most of them don't listen to the complaints of women.
