Is there anything else I can do for my Edema?

I have swelling in my right leg below my knee and my doctor ststes that it's Edema. I have received numerous tests (CAT Scan, Doppler, MRI etc..) and I have tried support hose and nothing has worked.

What I use when my knees swell. I wrap it and drink green tea. And stay away from sugar or soda.

Try keeping your leg level with your heart when you sit (recliner), that will reduce the swelling. Edema is when fluid accumulates in either the cells or the spaces between the cells. Lay off of salty things. When your leg swells do you have a cough? If so, it could be from your heart not pumping hard enough. Or your legs just aren't pushing the fluid back up in the veins. You have to wear the compression hose (not support hose) for 16 hours a day and take them off at night when you sleep.

well if you have been to a doctor i don't know what else to tell you, but i do know that massage therapy, if done the right way, can really help with the edema and increasing the blood flow and circulation. i would talk to you doctor first, because i don't know you case and how bad it is, so you should make sure that there would be no contraindications.
