Is there a special exercise for leg edema?

i'm looking for some do's & don'ts to help relive or prevent edema..........can leg execising at a gym be harmfull or beneficial ??? what else is there ???/

They are many possible causes for leg swelling (edema). One common cause is venous stasis, in which the blood vessels that return blood to the heart (veins), stop working properly, leading to a backup of fluid & swelling in the lower areas of the body. Gravity will play a role in the amount of swelling. Not to cause alarm, but other possible causes may include medication effects, pregnancy, heart failure, blood clots, infections, malignancies, and more. If you have other symptoms besides leg swelling, I recommend that you see a physician.

Assuming venous stasis is the reason for your edema, you could try some exercises that involve knee bending (i.e. cycling, rowing, weight training). Other helpful tips include wearing compression stockings and leg elevation. These stockings come in different sizes (socks, knee-high, thigh-high, complete stocking) and in different pressure ratings.

More than exercise you really need to cut down on salt and maybe try to walk a little more. A lot of times edema is caused from setting to long and cutting off the circulation to your legs. There can be serious reason's also. Some diseases start with edema is the legs. you should talk to your doctor before doing anything else. Not that I'm trying to worry you but blood clots can cause edema. It can also be a sign of infection where you need some type of diuretic. The doctor is always the best place to start.
take care

I will not complicate it for u as they did so far.
just elevate ur legs above ur pelvic joint so fluid can return back from ur leg to ur system and try to apply voltaren gel it's helpfull with pressure bandages and don't set for long times
I personally have been diagnosed with lower limp edema with protein urea with no pathological reason so the physician prescribed me potassium sparring diuretics.
Get checked up to identify the cause and get treated.
