Can anyone suggest the reasoning to why one's upper thighs would swell (edema). No lower calf or ankle edema.

I don't believe I have high BP. Might be relavent to add that edema started 5 days ago after a night of excessive alcohol intoxication. This isn't a regular occurance, could this be kidney related??

could be. I would go to doc and check your heart, liver and kidney functions. Make sure you tell the doc EVERYTHING. Don't wait. Could be circulatory too.
