Do I have atopical eczema? Seeking professional advice or personal experiences of ezcema, thanks?

I've had eczema around my mouth for two months now, from using dove cream. The doctor prescribed me with hydrocortisone cream and e45 cream today. However, because it's been two months, im afraid that i might have atopical eczema. No family members of mine suffer from eczema...

Question - Once eczema is there, can it go away?
Question - When will I see a difference of using hydrocortisone cream?
Question - Im 14, is it possible to get atopical eczema?

-Many thanks

It doesn't really sound like atopic dermatitis to me, but I suppose it's possible.

When you have an atopic reaction it does eventually go away. Mine usually take a couple of weeks, but they can last for several months.

Hydrocortisone cream helps some. It usually doesn't benefit me a lot though. You shouldn't use it on your face for a long time either. Aloe Vera (100% natural & dye/alcohol free) gel is a good alternative.

I think you can develop atopic dermatitis later in life...I'm not 100% sure though. I don't this it's usual; most people only have it in childhood. Mine definitely worsened in high school/college.

If you haven't been back to your doctor, you should definitely talk to them about it.
