Eczema flare up on face- NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE!?

Hi i was recently diagnosed with eczema about a month ago, and ive had a very good skin (except acne) until then. ive been very miserable with it, since using my dermatologist's prescription cream, the eczema was supposed to disappeear in 2 weeks. it didnt.

today due to a final exam, i didnt have time to eat anything but a few cookies and a chocolate bar, i came home and took a shower because during the last hour of exam i started itching. like my dermatologist told me to, i took a shower, no soap, and rinsing with baby oil. i used black head nose strip, because i havent for a while
and when i was taking it off, after 20 min i noticed that i started flaring up around my mouth! it's horrible, it looks like gravel road or something, it's all red, terribly bumpy and very itchy and burning. now it's all over my chin, upper lip, nose, around my eyes, and coming down on my neck.
Ive never had eczema on my face! what should i do?!

Why get tormented, if you can have the best treatment option for eczema that suits you? Healing natural products made from the pure essential oils extracted from plants and applied topically to relieve eczema symptoms and to begin the healing process of repairing the skin.

If you take good care of your skin and choose a course of treatment that will work, you will go a long way to keeping your eczema under control. For more information on eczema and treatments, http://www.skinoriginal.com/eczema.htm will help you a lot to get rid of eczema quickly and safely.

You need Triamcinolone Acetonide cream. You doctor will have to give you an Rx for it...but this stuff WORKS. The itching will cease, the redness etc will just dissapear. Run...do not walk back to the doc and get this. I have eczema in my ear (yeah...! you CAN get it there) and once in awhile in temples. (the ear is misery...) This cream, is invisible on, and immediately stops the itching and the healing begins. Good luck on your exams...and keep this cream ALL the time.

I have had eczema for most of my life and pretty much all over, including sometimes on my face. However, my dermatologist has never told me not to use soap at all. What is the point of showering if you don't use something like soap to clean yourself with? Make sure you are using soaps which are mild such as dove and unscented, gentle lotions (don't forget whatever you are using on your face, maybe you have developed an allergy to somethign in your nose strips? it happens). Also, when you are showering or washing your hands use the coolest water you can stand, warm/hot water will irritate your skin more. If the eczema on your face persists I would make another appointment to see your dermatologist. I have a special prescription just for my face which is milder and works wonders. Talk to your doctor and tell them that whatever you're using isn't working, there are a bunch of different products out there to treat eczema these days. Believe me, I know eczema is really really bothersome but it usually doesn't go away completely, you just have to treat it the best you can. Good luck.

I'm not sure if there is anything you can do right now, other than go back to your dermatologist and tell him what has happened. It is likely that that you are allergic to some substances in the black head nose strip.

Also, let your dr know that your eczema did not disappear after 2 weeks. Hear what he has to say.

If you are diagnosed with eczema, you must know that your skin is extremely sensitive to irritants. Hence the products that you apply on yourself must not contain harmful ingredients like fragrance or chemicals.

Get Champori anti-eczema cream (available online): it is herbal and works better than anything else on my eczema. It's fast, too.
Best,

buy "E for additives" by maurice hansen and jill marsden. asthma and allergies are dietary to a certain extent and the symptoms can be improved by avoiding processed foods as much as possible. fresh foods, home cooking, avoid anything bought in a packet. also consider an allergy/intolerance to milk(&milk products),eggs, pork. an easy way to see is to avoid these foods in diet for 4 weeks, there should be a noticeable improvement in the first few weeks. hope this helps. email me if you have any questions..

Remember Eczema has many triggers and from your message I can see of two triggers, your Exam and the Nose Strip.
Anxiety and emotional tension should be kept to a minimum. Techniques to reduce stress and the insight to avoid anxiety producing situations are benefical. It is important to realize that stress does not cause eczema but can certainly result in a flare up. I guess this is tough for you because we all get stress before and exam.
Contact with soaps, detergents, shampoos, conditioners, perfume, shaving creams as well as make up should be kept to a minimum. Soaps are alkali and are drying.

I have changed my diet, and also switched to the natural repcillin products, they are made from the fat of a crocodile and help to keep my eczema at bay. I use the soap on the parts of my body that are the worst, and then after showering, I pat dry my skin (not a rough drying after showering) and then use the repcillin cream when I have flare ups.

My advice is to stay away from the meds that the docs give you, make sure you dont use any creams with steriods in them, this will only treat the eczema for a minute and then it comes back with revenge!!

Try not to stress about it, stress is only a trigger.

some lotions can be irritating to the skin which when it comes in contact to the skin can trigger flare ups.

all you need is an all natural skin care moisturizer that will help moisturize the skin all day and night, protecting it from any damage and irritants as well as can promote skin healing.

try to not to scratch the infected area even if itching unbearable. keep the skin hydrated by drinking lots of water. have proper diet to boost immune system in fighting the disease. try not to wear rough and scratchy clothes and make sure that clothing is not tight. try to avoid skin irritants and perfumed skin care. make sure the foods you eat are considered healthy. watch out diet. do not do things that can easily make you sweat.
