Severe Eczema...?

I have severe eczema, and can not have it medically treated because I do not have any insurance at the moment. I can usually keep it under control, but it's become so horrendous over the past few months due to severe stress that I can't control it anymore.

I do all the "right" things for it, and know and understand how to take care of it since I've had it for 24 years....but when it gets this bad I usually get prescribed prednisone--something I can't afford without insurance. I've tried everything from eating raw potatos, bathing oatmeal...you name it and I've probably done it...but I'd still like any home remedies that you've come across for severe eczema. What do you do to treat your eczema?

Thanks in advance.

Hello there. Champori anti-eczema cream/spray combo. Works better (and faster) on my eczema than anything else. It is herbal (steroid-free), affordable and lasts long. Try it: it comes with money-back guarantee so there is nothing to lose.
Best,
Bernadette

First, I would like to encourage you to call some dermatologists or physicians in your area and see if any would be able to see you on a sliding scale fee due to your circumstances, and maybe offer you samples of medication to help you get your eczema under control.

You may try:
Cetaphil cleanser for sensitive skin
Keep it moisturized with Cetaphil lotion/cream
Use Free and Clear hypoallergenic laundry detergent
OTC hydrocortisone

It isn't much and you probably know already. Unfortunately, I think you really need a prescription. Good luck.

My daughter has this problem as well. We've found the Gentle Naturals Baby eczema cream( found at Wal-Mart or Rite Aid) seems to help quite a bit and even looks like its clearing up some!! I'm sure it would prolly work for adults too. I also read its got something to do with some kind of stomach problems or something... can't tell you exactly what the book said but perhaps try some "Tummy Tuneup" capsules from Beeyoutiful.com. This is our next step as well, so unfortunately I can't tell you if it'll work for sure... but from what I read on eczema, it sounds promising!! Good Luck :)

cortico steroids and moisturizing cream called vanicream. Guaranteed not to irritate skin.
