Eczema and Flaxseed Oil? |
Has any body tried Flaxseed oil. Does it really helps Eczema. Can some body recommend any natural health medicine or any cream for curing/relief eczema of a child of 4 years old I went to the doctor with eczema, he recommended a steroid cream, I wasn't happy about it, so changed my diet. Turned out to be an allergy to wheat/dairy products. I am not saying this is the case with your daughter, just letting you know the possibility. Mine is controlled (completely) by diet - creams have been thrown away. may be i say try it, it cant hurt anyway I would try a PH balance soap like the REDKIN mens bar. I would also try the OMEGA oils in a capsule form. Not sure about a 4 year old I would ask a pharmacist for the amount to use. Also E vits and A & C Vitamins. Stay out of the sun and be careful of sugar and sodas. and fatty foods. I also have a 4yr old that suffers from AD (atopic dermatitis), she has tried all creams on the market, now their is only one that works for her its called Protopic 0,03% ask you doctor about it. When she has a flare up is put a slight amount of this cream on it by the next day she is clean again. As for relief why not try oilatum junior, any cream with aloe vera and try Boots own make Head to Toe sensative skin wash, specially for excema. Poor child. Haven't tried flaxseed oil, but I used to put some oatmeal in cloth and run it under the tap into the bath. I've tried Moisturisers. they help more than anything else. They prevent the skin from going dry ive had eczema for 18 years and depending on the type of eczema he/she has depends on the treatment. I would recommend going to your local GP and asking about different treatments, but be warned, they tend to put you on the most common cream (which can be HydroCortisone or Eumovate - both of which do work but if they have atopic (hereditary) eczema like me, it might be worth asking for a consultation with a dermatologist. ive tried flaxseed oil and to me it made the skin even more itchy than previous! try oatmeal baths, they are good and plus they smell great. also, you may want to get them checked out for allergies. I haven't tried the Flax seed oil but my son had eczema for 18 years the best treatment he got was using a Chinese herbalist he cleared up great only downside was its a weekly or fortnightly trip and can be costly. Yes, my friend's young son suffered from eczema and managed to recover after taking a supplement called VPlus. |
