Eczema..help??

can anybody tell me how to get rid of eczema permanently??.. i'm trying to help my friend here coz her eczema is on and off and she's suffering from it since grade 1.

There are many ointments out there and also many kinds of eczema. For example some people have it on their hands. It is mostly due to external substances such as detergents. Then you should not touch detergent or so many paradise-promising cosmetics.
Some have it close to their joints(discoid eczema). They do not know yet exactly what causes that. Medication helps, it stops itching and it goes away. But unfortunately it does come back on some other part of your body. However doctors do not know exactly what causes eczema, many emphasizes stress and diet for possible causes. Your friend should change her way of life, be more relaxed and try medication for the treatment of the specific lesion. What else can I say...

What a nice friend you are! Eczema in my family, seems always to be tied to allergies and/or stress. My niece could not even TOUCH a potato peel without getting it all over her face and hands. I get it when I am stressed out. I've worked hard at NOT stressing out, and so, mine is less than it used to be. Those who have this, really need allergy testing. When the allergy testing is done, the Dr. can explain what brings on the eczema for your friend.

There is no way to get rid of it permanently, but there are ways to help it not be as bad. My sister and niece have eczema. Something that works good for them is just using aveeno lotion and hydrocortozome cream. Alternate the two and use them regularly. Also watch the acid intake that you eat, because eating a lot of acid is a cause of eczema.

Sorry, but i don't think there is a cure. My daughter has it and the Dr told us to use products like Dove and to make sure that she doesn't use really hot water. that can irritate it even worse. Also he told us to make sure she keeps lotion on like Cetaphil to moisturize her skin.

Eczema permanent cure: Bach Flower Rescue Remedy Cream.
I swear it works please try it.
http://www.bachflower.com/rescue_remedy....
If that site doesnt load up just look for it on net, or ask naturopath and pharmacist, its available in Australia ( unsure where you live) but you should be able to order it. Just remember Bach Flower Rescue Remedy cream it works like magic even if its prime use isnt eczema treatment use it and you'll see what i mean.

unpasteurized apple cider vinegar.
it can be found at a health food store, or in the healthy food section of some super markets.
use a 50/50 vinegar distilled water solution, pat on skin
drink 1 tablespoon in glass of water 3 times daily, raw honey can be added for sweetener and other health benefits.

emm.. have had eczema for years haven't gotten rid of it yet... Tried everything there is...bactroban worked great but its so freakin expensive....I have also tried aveeno products they work also... good luck!

I know exactly how to help your friend with her problem. Most lotions on the market contain MINERAL OIL! The molecular structure is too large to penetrate the pores of your skin, sitting on the top layer like saran wrap. This causes dirt and debris to collect on your skin, causing irritation and dryness. Products that contain mineral oil get wiped off over time and have little to no benefit. This is why you find yourself reapplying your lotion three times a day. You need a pure water based product to help with your sensitive skin. Water based products will penetrate the dermis and deeply condition and hydrate your skin. Although it may sound silly, Arbonne's Baby Care line is perfect for people with extremely sensitive skin. They have a body wash, lotion, and body oil that are botanically-based and pH correct, dermatologist tested, non-sensitizing, non-irritating, and formulated without nut oils. They're formulated with shea butter which is a unique botanical that soothes, moisturizes and protects skin. With its key components of vitamin A and E, all types of skin (including sensitive) can benefit from shea butter鈥檚 supreme, conditioning effects. Its non-toxic makeup and skin-tolerable trait make it ideal for use on sensitive skin. You cannot purchase Arbonne through retails stores. If she's open to trying a free sample, I'll be happy to help her. I think that it's wise to try a product to ensure that it's beneficial before buying. You're a great friend!
