Theres taking Turmedic pills, avoiding milk and such,Elocon cream,Noxema, taking all kinds of B vitamins, hemp seed oil cream,Desonide and rubing banana peel even. I'd like to know what ACTUALLY WORKS! before i enbark on diz list of things 2 try, before i waste money, wich would actually help!
Please,no "go see doctors" unless something seriously made a profound diffrence N change in your face eczema...ive had my share of skin thining steroids dat didnt work.

i also want 2 try Oregon Grape Root, anybody know of that, if it works.... http://www.planetbotanic.ca/fact_sheets/...

PLEASE HELP!

i do use aloe vera for the itchy and flaky part, dat n other such creams, i have that under control...if i could only get the REDNESS 2 go away or minimize, dats more my problem.

My daughter suffered badly from eczema when she was a child. She had it everywhere.
On thing I found that helped to relieve the itching and would give her some comfort was the juice from an Aloe Vera plant.

I bought a few because I had heard that it would help and each day I would break off a leaf spear, break it open and apply the sap from the leaf directly on the affected areas.

She was prescribed cortisone creams for her eczema which weren't too bad, but when her eczema had broken from the scratching the cream actually made it more inflamed and a couple of times actually infected it.

I heard later that cortisone cream FEEDS eczema when it is open and weeping/bleeding.

I hope that you can gain similar relief that my daughter did should you decide to use the aloe vera

Have you tried homeopathy? the link below will tell you which remedy is best for you by your own specific symptoms.

My dd has extreme eczema, ever since infancy. At times it was so bad that her eye-lids would be cracked and bleeding. My father has the same severe affliction.

The best results for both of them, were with non-prescription Zinc ointment (the thick, icky, sticky stuff), and pure Glaxal base.

'Glaxal Base' is what the pharmacists mix other medications into, to make prescription creams. Use that as an all over moisturizer. It is not perfumed and is tolerated well by anybody I know who has tried it. The plain Zinc ointment we get is non-prescription, and available in drug-stores and some grocery stores with decent health and beauty section.

It is very thick and sticky, and hard to spread, put it on and let it sit, and soak in, and it helps. My dd hated having to put it on, esp. when she was a rebellious teenager, and I knew she was in an extra amount of agony from the eczema on days that she'd bring me the jar and ask me to apply it. She is now 20, and had learned that I'm not trying to torture her, but just help her. She hasn't had cracked eye-lids in a few years now, and loves to wear eye-make up (which would have been impossible before), and still uses it, to prevent flare-ups, especially in the cold dry winter weather.

If you can't find a Zinc Ointment,..... there are baby diaper rash ointments that are high zinc content.... and there is a newish product out called Skinzinc - which sprays on like water, so it good for areas like arms, legs, etc., but on face, I'd stick with cream - put it on while watching tv or studying in an evening, to give it time to work, but it didn't seem to stain pillowcases when she went to bed with it on.

Maintaining healthy skin is one of the most sought after traits in the United States today. Diets high in salt, fats, and animal products are contributing factors to unhealthy skin conditions. Additionally, genetics, hormonal imbalance, industrial pollutants, allergies, and stress can make your skin worse.

Many experts agree that cleaning up your diet and ensuring you have adequate levels of basic nutrients can help nutritionally support healthy and glowing skin. There are a few strong studies which show friendly bacteria, probiotics, greatly help this process.

The human body is an amazing machine that can and does cure itself of all kinds of debilitating illnesses when given proper nutrition.
