Eczema on eyelids / HELP!? |
what exaclty is eczema? It can be caused by stress or allergies. There is a cortizone that will specifically treat the itchiness but since it's on your eyelids you need to see a doctor for treatment for that. You might also consider seeing an allergenist to pinpoint the cause. Eczema is treatable. I think it's caused mostly by allergic reactions, but I'm sure there are other causes. it is tough being on the eyelids. my son has had eczema since birth. we use aquaphor (made by eucerin) as a moisturizer 2-3 times a day and hydrocortizone 1-3 times a day with out breaks. this what our pediatrician told us to do. you should ask a doc or a pharmacist about putting it so close to your eyes. i hope this helps you. my sons got way better using the aquaphor daily, it works wonders, you can find it at any drug store, it will be by the lotion or baby products. you should use the aquaphor daily even if you don't have a break out because it will keep them from coming back. allergies can and do cause out breaks but my sons came with the weather. very cold weather and sweating in the hot weather are his triggers. good luck and merry christmas I had the same problem. It was all over my body, eyes hands feet legs and so and so forth, i looked horrid... I eventually tried Flax Seed... I was told by a herbal specialist that it clears up several skin conditions, but they wern't sure about eczima, I tried it and passed on the remedy... It began clearing in about 2 weeks, just eating 3-5 teaspoons of organic flax seed, raw. in about 3 months my eczima was completely gone and i stopped taking the flax. It's never come back, and it's been a success on everyone i know with it. you'll notice that it gets worse with stress, and the reason cortizone creams and well, everything the docs can give you doesn't work, it's because it's been over used by the population... I was on creams and pills for 11 years, tried everything they had on the market, even stuff still in testing... Try the flax seed, you can get it from any store that sells anything in bulk usually, and also organic stores... It's cheap and Very effective. |
