Ecstasy with Depakote and Epilepsy?

So my "friend" takes Depakote for her epilepsy, she hasn't had a grand-mal seizure in 5 years and pretty much only has them if she hasn't taken the Depakote in like a week. She has been tempted to try Ecstasy but has not for obvious unanswered reasons: #1 Can Ecstasy provoke a seizure?? and #2 Will Depakote effect the Ecstasy in a negative way??

#1. Yes. It can cause seizures, i personally have never seen it happen but I have heard of it.
#2. From what i have read, depakote and e shouldnt cause a bad drug reaction together. However, depakote is also a mood stabalizer..... e shouldnt be mixed with anything that help with moods or depression.

I used to use e like crazy and I have many friends who still use, I wouldnt suggest taking it because of the whole seizure thing. Its a bit dangerous, and not worth taking that sort of risk.

I think that your "friend" in her delicate state should not be wanting to experiment with a psychotropic like ecstasy. Getting a seizure and all its possible complications (brain damage for one) is NOT going to be worth getting high on E, in my opinion.

Similarly, even if she didn't have a seizure disorder, trying out E and all its possible complications (liking it too much and getting addicted, for instance), is also not worth it, in my opinion.
