My Heart Murmur is on the Right side of the heart! doc said it's Quiet Rare!!!?

I born with heart murmur. but didn't follow up because my mum don't want to believe it. after my mum passed away then i know i have this Rare heart murmur ........ When i got back my Transthoracic Echocardiography....... the doc said i got mild tricuspid reguritation( graded 2 out of 5), trivai mitral mitral regugition and trivial pulmonary regurgitation which are physiological in nature(that mean born with it/seen birth). the doc said 6mth later have to take the test again to see is it getting worse or not because i didn't follow up from young. btw I'm 18yr old.
The question is i don't really understand all!! Can anyone simplifier for me? Cos I still blur!
Thanks a lot.

a murmur is just noisy bloodflow. that is all. It alerts the doc to possible problems. With you, the concern is regurgitation--when blood flows backwards (because the contracting heart pushes blood through and the closed tricuspid and mitral valve bulge back up into the atria) Your 2 out of 5 isn't bad, nothing to be concerned about right now.

But you do want to follow up with it over time to make sure it doesn't worsen. There are little muscles and tendons on those two valves that prevent the heart from pushing them too far backwards and your doc is just wanting to follow up to make sure they are damaged and getting worse.

go to the follow up in 6 months so he or she can get a good accurate assessment of how your heart is working with this murmur and make sure there isn't some underlying possible emergency problem that caused it

A murmur just means when your heart beats a little blood goes back the wrong way...obviously you are living with it...since you are 18 and still alive. Just do as the doctor says and everything will be fine. Your doctor will tell you what it means for you. Later in life you may have some issues, or need surgery.

No. Echocardiography shows a visual image of the heart in action. An echo has nothing to do with the uterus which is in the abdominal cavity. Not to worry.
