Is the Ebola hemorrhagic fever the same thing as the Ebola virus? |
Please explain in simple-ish terms, I'm in a bit of a hurry. :) "Ebola haemorrhagic fever" is the disease state caused by the "Ebola virus." Subtle difference, I know. It's analogous to the difference between AIDS and HIV. The Ebola virus is an organism that causes one type of hemorrhagic fever. Marburg is another virus that causes similar symptoms. The ebola "hemorrhagic fever" is the human response or disease caused by the ebola "virus". the virus causes the fever |
