Please define Ebola virus.?

Ebola is both the common term used to describe a group of viruses belonging to genus Ebolavirus, family Filoviridae, and the common name for the disease which they cause, Ebola hemorrhagic fever. The viruses are characterised by a long, filamentous morphology surrounded by a lipid viral envelope. Ebolaviruses are morphologically similar to the Marburg virus, also in the family Filoviridae, and share similar disease symptoms. Ebola has caused a number of serious and highly publicized outbreaks since its discovery, as well as featuring as the gruesome antagonist in many forms of entertainment..

Ebola hemorrhagic fever is potentially lethal and encompasses a range of symptoms including fever vomiting, diarrhea, generalized pain or malaise, and sometimes internal and external bleeding. Mortality rates are generally very high, in the region of 80% - 90%, with the cause of death usually due to hypovolemic shock or organ failure.

its horrible you wouldn't like to have it check out the link

Ebola is a very deadly and contagiuos.
It is one of the most frightening diseases as an outbreak could wipe out populations as there is no cure and spreads sooo easily.
Has previously been attempted to be held by terrorist organisations to use.
The Ebola virus can be easily transmitted through direct contact of blood, organs, secretions and semen of a person that is infected.
The virus can be spread through infected needles that are reused (this is a common practice in some 3rd world countries).

It can also be spread by sexual contact between an infected person. Recovered patients do not pose a serious threat of infecting another person. But the virus may be present in a human's body 7 weeks after being treated. The vomit and diarrhea are filled with blood and mucus with the Ebola virus in it. Any person with close physical contact should be under strict surveillance. The Ebola virus is highly contagious and is not airborne
Symptoms of the Ebola virus begin 4 to 16 days after the person is infected. Beginning symptoms are headaches, fevers, chills, muscle aches, and loss of appetite.
When the disease progresses, patients experience diarrhea, rash, sore throat, vomiting, abdominal pain, and chest pain. The patients have limited kidney and liver functions, and have internal and external bleeding. The blood does not clot which can cause some serious problems. It cause the capillaries to bleed into surrounding tissue.(in other words you bleed out of every orafice, eg. eyes nose skin) The death of a patient occurs from 8-17 days after an infection
hope that helps
