Could such a thing as zombies ever exist?

In zombie movies they never give much of an explaination of how it happened.

Actually in the game Resident Evil, unlike the movie, it's more indepth, and it says that the T-virus started because Umbrella mixed EBOLA with Rabies to make the ebola virus more transmitable to use as a weapon because people with rabies bite each other.

Could that be true?

its really interesting. it could happen but it wouldnt be exactly how we depict zombies to be.

Anything is possible. This is highly unlikely but genetic mutation is very much a real thing. We can make hearts and other organs. We can play with DNA now days what stops us from changing it? I could see us changing it in the future. Which is good and bad in some ways. But i believe it is mostly for the best.
