Eating disorders?

y do ppl get them?? dont they no its dangerouse?? y put ur life on the line at such a dumb thing. i fu think ur fat go 2 a doctor and c if u r if u r then go on a healthy diet. i am just wondering y do u do it? how does it feel? i will never want that i am just wondering how u feel.

People develop eating disorders for many reasons.
These include:
-Low self-esteem
-Feelings of inadequacy or lack of control in life
-Depression, anxiety, anger, or loneliness
-Troubled family and personal relationships
-Difficulty expressing emotions and feelings
-History of being teased or ridiculed based on size or weight
-History of physical or sexual abuse
-Cultural pressures that glorify "thinness" and place value on obtaining the "perfect body"
-Narrow definitions of beauty that include only women and men of specific body weights and shapes
-Cultural norms that value people on the basis of physical appearance and not inner qualities and strengths
-Possibly genetics (they are still researching this).

Well, next time you write a question, check the "check spelling" button, and don't write half of the question in abbreviations. It makes it difficult to read.

People that get eating disorders do not think about it being dangerous because it is a mental disorder that requires professional help. They feel like they really are fat. No matter what anyone tells them. You may think it is dumb, but in the mind of that other person, they think reality is that they are fat, and nothing can change their mind.

I feel that the corporate whores who run america have ppl just where they want them, UNDER CONTROL!!!! Stop watching (and believing) television..... Stop reading (and believing) the popular magazines.... Time for us to think and act for ourselves!!! Don't go quietly into that goodnight, Rage against it and live free forevermore!!!!
