Overeating is an eating disorder that is caused from a person who has so many emotions that they do not know how to control them or make them feel better by eating and eating what ever they can get there hands on then they feel gross and they go try to run 10 miles...

Eating disorders can be caused by anxiety, stress, peer pressure, and some medical conditions.

All I know is these disorders occur mostly in females and that they stem from the girl having a distorted image of herself. No matter how skinny she is, she thinks she is fat. If she is satisfied by her weight, she doesn't want to risk gaining any weight, so she doesn't eat or you know...

I had and eating disorder, and am still getting through it. It's a mental disease that is caused by peer pressure, stress, and of those things.

Mine started out as me wanting to be perfect, in everyway, I was a good student, and I believed in order to get better, and in order to be more liked I HAD to be thin. It wasn't about media images for me. Some it might be, but for me it was wanting to be perfect in every aspect of my life. Most anorexics are very talented and are "over achievers" so to speak, most are great students, and they want to be perfect. I would look at myself in the mirror and see someone fat, and ugly....not me, it took over my body, and my life. I hated food, and would eat less and less calories every day. I had memoriezed the calories in every piece of food, and would sort it out that way, i got down to maybe 100 calories a day or so, and my weight got down to 100-105 and I'm 5'6. But it wasn't enough. I still struggle today with eating, but I'm getting better each day. I hope this helps some. Email me if you would like more information.
