Eating Disorders? Depression? HELP!? |
Both of my sisters have eating disorders, and they have depression! They are constatly looking in the mirror, and it just makes me so sad! I always cry about it! I don't know what to do! You learn in Life that you can't HELP anyone unless they want to be helped. And not only that, but they actually have to take the first step to becoming better. You can only try being their friend. Remind them everyday how pretty they are, how much you like hanging out with them, and how smart they are. The rest is up to them. It's sad, but you can't make them better as much as you want to help. Just be there for them, and listen to them when they want to vent, and try to be a positive influence in their lives. Are you sad about the way you look? You need to alert your parents, school counselor, priest or minister to this, eating disorders can be very dangerous and leave the person with long term physical damage or eventually lead to a very early death. Sweetness, the best you can do for them is to be the best you can be for you!!! I know, sounds sooo old-time...but, you cannot control the choices & actions of others...however, you can reflect a more appealling example for them to see & choose from...See??? |
