What are the statistics of eating disorders...?

What are the statistics of girls with eating disorders? How many of them that start dieting at age 13-14 get an eating disorder? What percent?

No I'm not doing a report. I just know these girls who have been dieting since they were 13 and I want to know what percent of people who do that end up with a disorder.

Research suggests that about one percent (1%) of female adolescents have anorexia. That means that about one out of every one hundred young women between ten and twenty are starving themselves, sometimes to death.

Results show that 16 percent of girls have full-blown eating disorders, and an additional 33 percent show serious symptoms of eating disorders.

About 40 percent of the girls with full-blown eating disorders believed they did not need counseling, as did 65 percent of those with serious symptoms -- for an overall rate of 57 percent.
