What causes a toddler to get ear infections when? |
the child is 17months old now.Never had ear infection till he was 15 months,Now has them several times a month.What could be causing the sudden ear infections? This is my grandson,I went through ear infections with daughter#3 but she had toncils removed at 2 yeard and by 3 the infections stopped.He never had one till he was 15 months There are a few things. The ear canals change as you get older right now they are straight back as you get older they begin to slop down. There are some ear massages you can do to help them drain...email me and I'll try to explain it....I have 3 kids and I use Mullen Garlic Oil. You can get it at any health food store. The garlic is an anti inflammitory and the oil breaks down the gunk and pops it out. I have never had an ear ache escilate to an infection by using this. Try having his tonsils looked at. if they suck their thumb or use a pacifier, especially when they sleep, germs from saliva can be entering the ear canal... Teething. Your child may have trouble with his ears now because he has bad ears and just starting to have trouble now with them .Is it both ears or one? My oldest son when he was young went through the same thing he was 12 months old when he was getting ear infections all the time too . Dose ear infections run in your side or your husbands side of the family ??? That can be a big factor in this too. My husband had trouble with ear Infections as a child all time too. My oldest ended up having tubes put into his ears and then he ever from that day on had any ear infections!!! Take your child to a Doctor a ear and throat one would be good to take your child at.
