Why are diabetics more prone to ear infections? |
I recently got my 3rd ear infection in one month. The doctor took a blood sugar test because he thinks that I could have diabetis. But, how is diabetis related to ear infections? sorry, never heard that one before, my hubby has been diabetic for many years, on insulin, and has yet to have an ear infection, maybe you should double check with your doctor, he would worry me if he told me something like that,there are a lot (6) of my family members who are diabetic as well who are not prone to ear infections, good luck dear, i have a feeling you are going to need it,God Bless!! Ask any ENT and you will hear countless stories. My type 2 diabetic partner has a serious ear infection (both ears) that is still not under control after 2 months of treatments. Just one of the many complications of having an auto-immune disease (diabetes). Report It I've never heard of diabetics being prone to ear infection in particular. Diabetics are prone to infection....period. You might want to ask your doctor cause I've never heard a doc say anything of the sort. |
