Onions and Ear infections... has anyone heard of this? Or any other home remedies...? |
I have had an ear infection since last Wednesday... The dr. gave me some meds... but it is still not all cleared up. A friend of mine told me to cut an onion in half and put it near your ear.... does anyone know?!?!?!?!? This popular earache remedy involves a whole roasted No I have never heard that. 1. Take your medication until the end of your perscription. 2. Many time if you take a warm wash cloth and put it in the general are of the Ear it will help. i used to get very painful ear wax and infection as a kid...and i remember my mother pouring onion paste in my ear,and it got cured!...so putting a cut onion might also help...hope u feel better soon dear...all the best Yes it works...! I have had this situation before and my mom used to do it for me. Put a few drops of the onion juice freshly squeezed. Did the doctor give you drops? If not, go back. Sometimes you just gotta have the drops. Oh and to prevent ear infections, put a drop of rubbing alcohol in them especially when you swim. Or you can whenever you get your head wet. Its an old swimmers trick and it really works! I have not heard of the onions, but I do use a different natural remedy. I pick up some "ear candles" and wally's ear oil from GNC. I have had some success and relief with that. |
