Does anyone know a real TMJ specialist; anywhere? I`m willing to travel.? |
I have a severe TMJ disorder that causes clicking, ear pain, dizziness - the works. It has been diagnosed, but I am having trouble finding an actual Doctor or Dentist that is remotely knowledgable about TMJ treatment. Thus, I have been given the most rediculous treatment ideas -- "Try yoga" -- No thank you. "Just relax" --good idea -- "try some warm chamomile tea" -- Whatever!! -- There must be a Doctor or Dentist out there that actually treats TMJ using actual medical techniques. I have the same condition. The most common underlying causes of TMJ syndrome are stress and a poor bite, together with clenching and grinding of the teeth (bruxism), especially at night. There is one in Kinston, North Carolina. I went to him for my surgery because nothing else helped. If you want to know more details just ask. Report It Try a bone and joint clinic and see what a specialist in arthritic diseases tells you. GOOD LUCK! (and I don't mean relax and drink tea)...I think you'll find help with a rheumatologist or orthopedic surgeon. My wife had TMJ and found there is a specialist in our town that did great work for her. Name is Sage White DDS FAGD Phone number 435-586-9991. He is nationally known for his TMJ knowledge and skills. http://www.dawsoncenter.com/ Try checking with a chiropractor.. they treat these conditions quite routinely. May have to call a few to find one who does this procedure. Go to website iaomt.com and read up on the whole issue of teeth that we have never been told about. Its mind boggling and once you've been educated on this issue you'll never allow a dentist put a filling in your tooth again unless your're sure of its composition. root canals are and cavities are harbours of infection which spreads to all other organs of the body and causes chronic disordres-arthritis, heart damage, alzhimers etc etc. You could try alos the website mercuryfree.co.uk Go to a university dental school and ask for a referral. Call the ADA in your state, The American Dental Association, every accredited Dentist belongs |
