Pain in ears and eyes???

my ears are hurting it feels like pressure inside but it mainly hurts outside of my ear. My eyes are also hurting but its not like eye strain pain it more like its coming from behind them. i just feel really weird. any suggestions on what it might be? i also suffer from other symptoms which my doctor thinks is some nerve disorder but the eye and ear thing just started today and my eye doctor the other day said there was swelling around my optic nerve but they didnt hurt then. any suggestions? thanks

its not like a headache or migraine. it isnt pain that you get when you look at light its like its behind my eyes nothing to do with eye balls
