Any one out there have Meniere's Disease. How are you coping?

I have recently been diagnosed with Menier's Disease a disorder of the middle and inner ear. This causes me to feel as though I am spinning and soon makes me sick. I have many dizzy episodes a day but the medication I am taking is stopping the big spins that cause the sickness for now.I just need some reassurance that it is still possible to work and live normally (whatever that is) with this disease.

it is possible my mum has suffered with it for 30years or more and she is 70 years old now and still goes on holiday abroad to turkey and spain on her own.she leads a very normal life. just take your medication and be patient and i am sure you will cope.
hope this re-sures you. good luck

Yes you can-just take it easy when bending over, going from a lying position to a standing position, etc. Anything that will throw off your balance will make you feel dizzy. Just use caution.

I have Meniers and take tablets prescribed by my doctor. As long as I take the tablets ( Betahistine ) three times a day I have no problems what so ever. This is not a life changing disorder as long as you keep taking the tablets!
