Prescribed by an E.N.T. Doctor? What side effect does "SOMA" medication have...? |
What effects does SOMA medicine have on the human body? The E.N.T. Doctor prescribed this medication to take for constant head aches and ear pain. I am currently on Effexor XR for anxiety disorder. They thought I had fluid in my ears and gave me a referral for ENT doctor. I went to see this doctor and he told me there was no sign of ear infection or fluid in the ears, he assumed that I probably had tense muscles in the head, so he prescribed me this medication (Soma) and don't want to take it. I don't want to become a drug addict and I need to function properly for work, family, etc. Please tell me what I should do? Is SOMA a narcotic? Soma side effects are uncommon but can occur. Soma is actually like Bufferin. but it does have adverse affects on your gastrointestinal system and could thin out your blood(blood thinner) Other than that, it shouldn't propose any problems with your Effexor. SIDE EFFECTS... This medication may cause stomach upset, heartburn, headache, dizziness or drowsiness. If these symptoms persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Inform your doctor promptly if you develop: persistent stomach pain, rapid heart rate. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention.
