Ehlers danlos syndrome and piercings? |
I'm wondering if anyone who has ehlers-danlos syndrome also has problems with piercings. Same with me. I have one piercing in each ear. They get infected occasionally, and never fully heal. When I put my earrings in, I sometimes accidentally poke another hole, which then gets infected and red (I am assuming because of thin skin). Hope this helps. (I have "unofficially" been diagnosed with EDS) one solution is avoid piercings you can buy clip on earrings good luck to you wow, i never knew that rejection had a possible disease for the reason. i have the same problems with piercings, as does my brother. my ears never healed, and my belly button pushed the piercing out. thanks for the name, now i can find out why it happens. i just sucked it up and didn't get pierced again. no sense in wasting my money. i can still tattoo, so all is not lost! yay! I dont have any diseases and my ears will become irritated and infected because of the nickle in the metal, I am allergic to surgical steel, nickle, and I can only wear gold, so check out that... use neo sporine every day and night and they should heal. if not, well it may not be worth it to have piercings, I just dont wear them anymore... too much of a hassel... |
