Lack of sleep from nervousness after dental implant placement?

From the day I received the standard pre-implant tissue-preparation medication (anti-biotics, some weak cortisone derivative, and anti-histamines), I have been slightly nervous and had difficulty sleeping. I am now 23 days post-op with continued uptightness, and catch myself wondering whether other factors (such as electrical frequencies, meridians or EMF) may be at work, now that the medication should have worn off, or whether 'it is simply in my head' and I need to give it time. <> Also, I wonder what impact EMF can have on titanium implants, and if you can provide a link for reference. I used to fall asleep easily, my wife was jealous of that and now it's the other way around.

i guess i understand you very well since i had the same problem.
but believe try the medicin "Brufen" this will make you sleep.

to reduce your nervousness, try taking st john's wort- its a herbal remedy so all natural. if you cant sleep, take some valerian tea before you sleep? make sure you relax a bit everyday... do some exercise, laugh a little. the operation probably isnt the sole cause of your nervousness.. think about it in depth and find the root and try to find a logical solution.

The steroids can get you all wound up. They take a week or more to get out of your system once you stop taking them. Hopefully, that's what this is all about...

Not really, unless it keeps you from sleeping. Only then will it be a problem.
