What kind of doctor do I go see to get my Spleen Removed??? |
My family has a history of autoimmune disorders, back in June 2003 I had a severe throat infection which doctors thought to be strep but it wasn't I had a fever and white spots in the back of my throat and I couldn't swallow I also had abcesses in my mouth, 2 weeks later I came down with Viral Myocarditis and was given a pacemaker to survive. I was tested for Mono(EBV) and it came back positive so did my mom I am thinking I have a family history of autoimmune disorder the only way you can stop your own system from attacking you is getting rid of your spleen??? does anyone know???? You haven't mentioned any auto-immune diseases in your question. Only viral and bacterial diseases. The fact that you are prone to these diseases suggests a weak immune system, which is the opposite of an auto-immune condition. Okay, first I do have to say... Where did you get information that mono was an autoimmune disease? It is a viral infection. Mono causes fever, sore throat and other symptoms like strep. Mono is VERY contagious, so you probably either gave it to her or vice versa. |
