EBV Epstein Barr Virus? Help!? |
I was just diagnosed with EBV with a high Nuclear Antigen IgG of 620 and a high VCA IgG of 2438. (normal range for both is 0-99). This seems really high. My question is will these numbers eventually go down? Also, is there a way to determine how long ago I was infected? I read the CDC website about how to read the results but it just says past infection, I would love to pinpoint more specifically when I could have gotten it. Could I get it from a dentist visit? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epstein-Bar... it is transmitted via saliva and does not play alone usually INFECTIOUS MONONUCLEOSIS or kissing disease and african burkette most cases of mono are actually infectious when a youngster. most of the worlds population (about 95%) have ebv antibodies. there is a base normal line. anything above that number means it is active, anything below a certain number it is inactive. |
