E.coli, further question?

Thanks for the answers on my bladder infection. I've decided as part of the treatment to give up alcohol, I used to drink every day, and caffeine. I drank two or three mugs per day. I am now suffering from severe night sweats. Incredible amount of perspiration that wakes me up. What should I do next? I want to stay off the booze.

Good to hear the e.coli is clearing up. A very nasty little bug that makes urinating absolutely dreadful. The pain lasts for minutes afterwards as well causing you to think that there's more to come. The lack of flow of urine because the tube is swollen is very confusing. I couldn't urinate sitting down because of this. Looking back, that started before I knew I had a problem so the swelling had started inside before I recognised the symptoms. Recommend Milk Thistle for the de-tox, which is what the night sweats are. Not sure it is clever to stop so much all at once. Try drinking tea, leave out the coffee, for low level caffeine input. Well done. I have been on and off the wagon over the years, stick with it and watch the bank balance grow! A BIG INCENTIVE!! And you'll stop worrying if and when you can drive the next day. Give it a few weeks and see the difference. Try and introduce a weights and exercises programme, gentle at first to get some endorphins going. The feel good factor is important.

i would suggust u see your dr. sometimes medication can be perscribe like antibuse but that has its draw backs too because you have to be careful with the otc medication you buy and you have too monitor what kind of foods you eat because of the alcohol contents .antibuse cause you to become real sick if you drink 1 drop of alcohol its extreme but i've used it and i havent drank in 2 months.when the urge stricks ive drank non-alcholic beer

Definitely no alcohol.

The night sweats are simply your body detoxing itself - it happens when people give up alcohol and also marijuana. It can take quite a long time to stop but try taking milk thistle and it should bring them to an end much sooner. In some ways you can look at it as a good sign as your body is cleansing itself.
